What Is the Aurzen D1R Air?
The D1R air is a portable smart projector with native 1080P resolution (1920 x 1080). It weighs about 1.18 kg (2.60 lb) and measures 5.35 x 4.33 x 10.12 inches. It connects through WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, USB, USB-C, and an audio output. Aurzen suggests it for home cinema, bedroom ceiling viewing, camping, travel, casual gaming, and presentations.
Key Features
Built-In Roku TV
Roku TV is built in, so you do not need a separate streaming stick or remote. After you connect to WiFi, you can open apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube, The Roku Channel, and Apple TV. The listing also mentions free live TV channels. A free Roku account and an internet connection are required to activate it.
USB-C Power for Flexible Use
This projector can be powered through USB-C, so you may use a compatible wall charger, laptop charger, or power bank. This makes it easier to use outdoors or away from a wall outlet. However, the listing states that it needs a 65W+ USB-C PD power source with 20V/3.25A output, plus a 5A E-Marker USB-C to USB-C cable. The Aurzen PowerBase Stand is sold separately.
Native 1080P and 300 ANSI Lumens
The listing states native 1080P resolution and up to 300 ANSI lumens of brightness. This should give a clear picture in a dim room or outdoors at night. For daytime viewing, the seller suggests blackout curtains and avoiding direct sunlight. There are six picture modes: Roku, Vivid, Standard, Eco, Movie, and Sports. For an 80-inch image, the suggested distance is about 7.26 feet (2.21 m).
TOF Auto Focus and Auto Keystone
The projector uses TOF technology to detect distance and focus the picture quickly. Auto keystone correction helps keep the image straight when you move between rooms or use the ceiling.
Gimbal Stand With Bottom Power Design
The adjustable stand rotates smoothly, and the power port is at the bottom, so the cable stays out of the way when you adjust the angle. This is useful for wall and ceiling viewing.
Independent Base Speakers and Dolby Audio
Two 5W speakers sit in a separate audio base, which is meant to give fuller sound and less vibration. The projector also supports Dolby Audio. Bluetooth 5.2 works both ways, so you can connect headphones or speakers. Dual-band WiFi supports streaming, and the listing mentions Apple AirPlay for casting from Apple devices.
Who Is It For?
Bedroom and Home Viewers
If you want a simple setup without extra devices, built-in apps and auto focus keep things easy. The stand suits bedroom walls and ceilings.
Campers and Travelers
The small size and USB-C power option make it a handy choice for road trips, camping, or backyard movie nights, as long as you have the right power source.
Casual Gamers and Presenters
HDMI and USB ports let you connect laptops, game consoles, TV sticks, and USB drives. The 1080P picture also suits simple presentations.
Things to Consider Before Buying
Keep these points in mind before you order:
- Power requirements. Not every power bank or charger will work. Check the 65W+ PD, 20V/3.25A requirement and the cable type.
- Fan noise. The listing says fan noise at 1 m ranges from 29 to 35 dB, depending on the mode.
- Lighting. A dark or dim room gives the best image.
- Roku account. You need an account and internet access for the smart features.
- Optional accessories. The PowerBase Stand is not included.
- Shipping and import details. Check these on the product page for your location.
